Miner Technologies serves high-volume brands such as Danone, McDonald’s, and major beverage producers, operating in a highly specialized printing environment where presses print on 3D, tapered, and cylindrical containers using up to ten colors—far beyond traditional 2D, four-color printing. This freelance, second-shift project focused on redesigning the existing Programmer’s User Interface (PUI) into a modern, touch-enabled press interface. The goal was to support a seasonal, high-turnover workforce by dramatically improving learnability, transfer of training, and operational clarity. User-centered workflows emphasized simplified input, clear visual feedback, and accurate representations of press mechanics, enabling operators to quickly understand complex setups and reduce errors—resulting in faster onboarding, greater efficiency, and more consistent production quality.
