EagleView | Insurance & Imagery-Based Inspection Platforms
EagleView’s mission is to extract actionable data from imagery using machine learning and AI—reducing manual workflows while delivering faster, safer, and more accurate outcomes for industries such as insurance, construction, government, and energy infrastructure. As a Senior UX Researcher and Designer, I supported multiple initiatives focused on improving software platforms that enable remote roof inspections and insurance claims processing. A key project centered on OnSite, a web-based application used by insurance adjusters to assess wind and hail damage using aerial and drone-captured imagery. By allowing adjusters to inspect structures remotely, OnSite dramatically reduced risk, time on site, and claim cycle duration.
My objective was to independently plan and execute a research program to identify usability gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, and confidence during claims review.I developed a structured research plan that combined heuristic evaluations, design reviews, and workflow analysis as an initial discovery phase. Internal subject matter experts (SMEs)—many with prior adjuster experience—were engaged as interim stand-ins to validate assumptions while access to external end users was arranged. This approach enabled early identification of critical task flows and pain points within image review, anomaly detection, measurement, and quality control processes.
Research insights informed concept exploration and design proposals, including improved thumbnail layouts, enhanced filtering and view options, refinements to the AA2D roof slope and measurement tools, and usability improvements to the Survey QC workflow. These efforts contributed to clearer visual hierarchy, reduced cognitive load, and more efficient decision-making for adjusters. In parallel, I also supported broader design assessments and branding initiatives, including proposals for logo and visual identity updates—helping align EagleView’s product experience with its evolving AI-driven vision.
