Independent Health | UX Research & Experience Strategy

At Independent Health, I led and advanced UX research initiatives across multiple healthcare programs, helping embed user-centered design and evidence-based decision-making into the product lifecycle. Working within a highly regulated healthcare environment, my role focused on improving clarity, usability, and trust across digital experiences that directly impact members, providers, and internal stakeholders.I established UX research best practices and integrated usability testing into ongoing product development efforts, ensuring research insights were consistently applied from discovery through validation. I designed and executed both qualitative and quantitative studies—including moderated usability tests, surveys, and design sprint evaluations—to identify usability pain points, workflow inefficiencies, and opportunities for meaningful product enhancements.Key initiatives included Design Sprint test findings, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) healthcare-related PBRx evaluations, and Nutrition Benefits usability testing, each requiring careful alignment with compliance standards, accessibility needs, and member comprehension. Findings from these efforts informed iterative design improvements and helped teams prioritize changes with measurable impact. To communicate insights effectively, I produced strategic UX artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and executive-level insight decks, translating complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations. I collaborated closely with development, QA, and marketing teams to align research outcomes with organizational KPIs—supporting better product decisions, improved user satisfaction, and stronger business alignment across Independent Health’s digital ecosystem.
